Default How do you remove the bottom panel of the dashboard?

I'm having a hard time trying to take off the bottom panel that has cover's the lower half of the steering column and has the trunk release button. So I can remove my dashboard. I removed the screws and tried pulling it and it will not pop off. I don't want to force anything and break it. I was told it simply "pops off" but it doesn't seem like it does. How do you exactly take it off?

Without looking it over again, i don't recall where all the screws are for it (or how many there are). I will say this, the clips that hold it on hold TIGHT to the car. When you pull on it to pop it out, pull it straight back (don't pull at an angle).
That's the best I can tell you unfortunately.

Thanks. I had to pry it off and got it off. Now, I have to figure out a way on how I can remove the dash without moving the shifter to 1. Because my ignition is locked and I can't move it.

Not sure you can get the main dash piece out with the shift in park. I never have at least. To make room, if you can't mover the shifter, you may gain some space by taking the shift **** off. Just a thought.
