Any time you have a relay, you should have diodes to protect against the voltage spike from the magnetic field collapsing in the relay coil when it shuts off

No, they won't block anything but the voltage spike

there is no realy there, your just tying into the BCM's dimmer switch, ti get it to switch on the lows when it goes to turn them off. its a trick of sorts, the computer still thinks there off, but they are not

i still would like to find out if BB can do it for me, he never got back to me about how far into jersy he is located: \ probobly more than hour

You are absolutely adding a relay (and 2 diodes), tapping into 3 wires (2 at the BCM, 1 at the column harness) and grounding the forth.

Basically you are placing a second relay in parallel of the factory headlamp relay that energizes the low beams regardless of what position the MFS dimmer is in

I am on the Central NJ coast, but I don't work on other peoples' cars, aside from friends on occasion

You're kidding, right? You PM'd me, I answered your PM, but you want to air your dirty laundry in public... ok

You offered to drive to Easton PA so I could do this work for you for $30... Easton is over an hour each way for me and would cost me more than $30 in gas alone, not to mention 3-4 hours of my time... and I like I said in the PM, $30 would not begin to cover my time.

If you want to act like a child, that's fine. If you think my prices are too high, that's fine too. You are under no obligation to give me any cash... and if you aren't happy with me in your 'community' feel free to have a Mod or Admin let me know that...

Just an FYI... you would have been much better served by responding in a PM instead of acting like a child in this thread

EDIT: Just a quick note.. I've been a member of the community ALOT longer than you have...

Perry's a great guy, but like anyone else, if theyre going to lose money they probably wont do it. His prices are great for the amount of work he does and the quality it is. Try to find a cheaper price somewhere, it probably won't happen.

There was nothing offensive about that post at all....????

anyway.

I thought of something on my way home tonight.. When you pull the switch back to put on your highs, you have the flash to pass thing right before you here it click then its just highs. So if you hold in where its in flash to pass mode both highs and lows are on, so you could just hold it there till the HID highs warm up then click it to just highs..

just a thought....
