i have 55w 8000 kelvin temperature. there very bright, blue tint to them and you can see for miles! if your looking for deep blue look go for 10,000 kelvin temperature. but as you go bluer or higher into the kelvin temperature, you lose visability! (from 10,000 kelvin temperature and up)

I'm stuck between 5000k and 6000k with the 35W Raptor conversion kit for the 9006 low beams. I plan on installing and putting in bluer fogs in the future, and my Monte is yellow if that sways any decisions :P

So...DDM experienced help me out! Thanks!
i also bought from ddm tuning! i bought the relay wiring kit, 55w, 8000 k, brackets, i bought the slim line kit, it works very well. definitely go with the slim line kit fits anywhere!!!! and you do not need the code eliminator kit at all. ive also ad no problem with the local law enforcement, i mean they never pass me, maybe because they dont want there back bumper to melt from my H.I.D.'s :P

I have 8000k lows, 6000k highs. Pretty sure I like how they are, but I would try 10000k for lows.
i just busted out laughing lolll, the candle light thing is so true, and if you buy the basic kit from ddm tuning, its like 40$ lol the have some crazy led fog lamp bulbs as well.

The 6000 will work great. It has a weird tint to get used to though.

Agh I missed this thread. :/ I have 30,000k and they are super pink, lows and fogs, I love them and people are always like WTF?! Does that car have pink lights? Lol I do love the bluish tinted 10k though, good choice! Can't wait to see them!

I'm so thankful I stumbled upon this discussion! I've been wanting to convert mine since I got the car and have been in the same debate most people are about the color and what kit to get. I did not know about DDM until I discovered them here. So I'm probably going to order my kits from them. And I'm thinking of going with either the 5000K or 6000K. I had 6000K lights on a previous car and loved them, but I don't know if I want that faint blue tint again. Although they did look sharp.

I'll probably go with the 5000K for the lows, any recommendations for the highs?

Thanks for the insight everyone!

For the fogs, I plan on doing 5000k in the lows at 55 watt because that would probably be the whitest light retrofitted into a project that I will add halos to. But I might complete change my mind and get an orange that would match the corner markers or a dark blue.

I would reaaaaaallly like to make my highs HIDs too because the stock yellow versus the lows looks ridiculous. I hope a member can tell us if the same kelvinin th highs would be brighter than the lows on high beams and still a similar hue on DRL.
