Default HID conversion

ive been hearing alot of good things about HID lights, however...from what i know about them, they arent a plug and play deal...so my question is What do you need to convert to HIDs? is there a good site to buy them? what else do you need? any help is appreciated, thanks

Please use our search feature / look at older threads, this has been discussed 100x and you will get plenty more information there.

Cliff Notes, you would need a kit with ballasts. It IS illegal to retrofit them (put them in a non-projector housing) and no they don't make projectors for our cars.

lol i got them in my headlights and fog lights... i didnt know that they were illegal w/out projectors tho! oh well! i got mine on ebay and were about 50 bucks shipped. no issues at all!

i too have fallen victim to not doing my reseach and having other people point out that its already been covered... i now look thouroughly first! haha but when your new you dont know sometimes...

what does pics of the simpsons have to do with anything? to the op, most hids dont need to be converted. they are plug n play. at least for me it was plug n play
