Default Help Please.....

I just purchased a new after market deck and I got it all hooked up in my 2000 monte. The deck turns on but the factory that runs the speakers must not be. I am assuming the two wire in the amp that are orange and black are what my problem is. I am guessing the orange is the remote wire and the black is the ground. I also have a second amp that is hooked up for my subs. Can I just hook the orange wire to the remote wire for my other deck or what should I do. Any suggestions would be appriciaterd. thanx in advance

Welcome to MCF!!! Nice to see the problem worked out so quickly for you.

Everything from 2000 on up in GM's seems to be much more difficult than in past years. My 2000 Blazer is the same way so I'm sticking with the stock deck there.

In my area, I have a wonderful stereo shop, 35 bucks to install a head unit, including wires, etc. Well worth it in my opinion. I HATE wiring. not even worth the aggravation.

welcome to MCF, btw.
