Default headlights?

I bought some 100w high and low beams on ebay and wondering if it will be safe to use without a "balast"?? Link below

These are halogen bulbs, so they don't need ballast. Ballast would be for HID's

Those are probably just fancy painted bulbs, which would actually decrease the light output.

yeah i figured id give em a try and if im not pleased with this ill just get some HIDs some time in the future, they were cheap too so not much loss
