FYI - To achieve the effect I got and wanted, I used a toothpick for a paint brush and took 3 coats to complete. Some may have better skill then I, but that's what it took for me.

No problem! I felt that was an idea GM should have done from the get-go.
You won't get the same results with a pen (it's hardly noticeable compared to the 3D/puffy paint). The puffy paint comes in a variety of colors.

I had a pain getting my map lights out. I tried some probably NOT recommended ideas, such as needle nose pliers (trying to get the narrow endo the bulb)> It was a lit of wiggling and took like 5-10 minutes a bulb (and I did it to both the Monte and my '02 Grand Am).

Not really, it was tough for a little bit, but it smoothed out, if holds pretty well. It does not rub off at all, but it is starting to fade a little in spots..

Well first I thoroughly cleaned and shampooed the carpet. Then after it dried spraypaint it and rub the carpet as you go to try and get in all the fibers, I'm not 100 percent sure if it will come out if you shampoo afterwards but Im gonna go over it again later with carpet dye in a spraybottle to make sure it wont fade

On the side towards the front of the car there's a little indent on the lens. Stick the smallest flathead screwdriver in there and pry it towards the back of the car. They should pop out. After that take some duct tape, pull off about 4" of it, and wrap it around the bulb width wise and leave about 2-3" of it hanging off. Grab the excess hanging off and pull, the bulb should come out.

I think I will do the carpet dye way if I ever decide to change it up. I dont feel that the spray paint would stay that well.
