Default GMOS-04 help?

I have an 02 SS with the factory amp. I'm going to be installing new head unit, door speakers, and 6x9s. I'm using an Alpine head unit with the Alpine KTP445 power pack so I will be running new speaker wire to bypass the factory amp. Crutchfield told me I would need either the GMOS-01 or GMOS-04 along with the ASWC. I asked which one was recommended and the man told me "either one" I see now that the manufacturer says the GMOS-01 is for non amplified systems and the GMOS-04 is for amplified. Is the GMOS-04 good to go with the KTP445 or should I have gotten the GMOS-01? I mean, the signal will be amplified by the KTP445 but it's obviously not the factory amplification system. I'm just wondering whether or not I'm alright to install the GMOS-04 in my car.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm new to stereo installs. I just want to get my information straight before I embark on the install.

Thanks in advance
