I have done this on my wife's 2005 Imapla SS & my 2005 monte carlo SS
you should look in owners manual.. , you have to set your garage opener to learn . an follow the owners manual..

1. On the garage door opener itself, there is a learn button. Press and hold down the learn button until the learn indicator light goes out

then just follow the video

Thats not the best way to do it. Then you are setting your garage opener to learn a random frequency and if its the frequency that came stock in the car any car with the homelink could open your garage. I have mine set to open the front gate, garage and shop garage at my dads house. The owners manual will tell you how to set the home link into programable mode, then you hold the button on the remote that opens the garage door and home link will clone that frequency and will use that to open your garage door or other remotely controlled door. But you only have three frequencies as you have three buttons.

Either or. Not trying to put you down in any way. I just think this way your using the secure signals the come with your garage door opener.
