Opinion Needed: Footwell Lighting?
Gives off a nice effect for little cost and effort.
I used white LED's in the foot wells, dome light inside mirror (map) lights, and trunk light.
I like the colored lights too, and if ambiance is what you're looking for that would be the way to go, but I don't think they put out quite as much light and not as good for reading by.

I'm probably going to keep the dome light white. it's the only light source I have to read with. I might run an rgb extension to the dome light incase I change my mind after I reinstall the headliner. Rgb leds can make white also, so it shouldn't be an issue if I have certain company that don't share my taste in color.

I swapped all my factory lights for LED. My factory footwells have the brightest red LEDs I could find and the upper LEDs (Map and Dome lights) are white/natural color. I had to use the weakest map LED lights to prevent drowning the red. I like the affect. Pretty different.
