Thanks buddy as soon as i find out wht it is i'll post it for the world to see n take notes. Hey have u replaced the shift position sensor n your monte yet

I bought a new uplander in 05 my lights flickered I worked in the sales department in a Chevy garage
My lights flickered also try a voltage regulator fixed mine there was a tsb on it hope this helps

I've seen brand new batteries with bad cells so I'd definitely take his advice and the battery checked, even if only to confirm what you already know.

jdietschweiler I read that the voltage regulator was buildt n the alternator cuz I was thinkn that it coulda been that as well

Call the dealership the tech didn't put an alternator in mine see if there is any tsb's out there on this situation. I betcha there is.

Not all cars have the same setup as far as voltage regulators so that makes sense. I'm assuming you're talking about the Uplander that you had this problem on, not the same bodystyle Monte like he's got, right?

I understand is kinda hard to imagine that a monte carlo may share the same driveline as a minivan but maybe my 3.5 is different than his?
