I guess im old, but i don't see the point of subs anymore... maybe a single 10 or 12, but nothing more.

I think music should be heard, and not felt in your chest every-time the bass kicks in.

im good with just the 6x9's and 6 1/2 in the doors... but i do have very nice speakers in those spots.

Front http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1086032...2si.html?tp=95

im very happy with the setup, i do need an amp for the higher volume though...stock is not cutting it.

Sorry, didn't mean to blather on in your thread, i will go away now.

To each his own

I remember back in the day I wanted some JL W3's soooooooo bad. If I ever run across a set of 12W3's at a baller price I still might get them cause damn they're sexy! I like your setup but just wonder why you installed the amp right there instead of on the backside of the box where it's out of view?

Yea I hooked up a step down on my 06 monte and I threw in my 6 year old infinity 12's with a 2500 watt crunch amp and a 120 fared cap, mine sounds great and wouldn't ask for better sub sound.... ok I take that back I do need to insulate the trunck a bit so I lose the rattle... also that is true whattrewyn said. amp on the box can rattle it to peices and make your amp stop working... put it on the seat so that it has some give way from the vibrations and not directly on the box because vibration is bad for electronic parts. I have learned this two ways. one I have gone through three amps that way and also I am taking electrical classes at school and we have to learn some electronics. Ok well I hope I could have been of some help at all with the amp set up.
