Default a few lighting questions

car: 2001 SS

First off, I've noticed that there are red reflectors on each door towards the bottom. Are these just reflectors or are my bulbs burnt out on them? Lol, they've never lit up since I've had it so I'm not sure.

Second, the dual climate control (heat and cold) bulb went out. Do I need to remove the entire dash to replace this bulb or is there an easier way?

Third, my left headlight head a small leak in the seal (I'm pretty sure I fixed it ) and since all of the moisture got in the housing, the yellow/amber coating pealed off a little on the signal light. So I thought about switching them out for some LED bulbs just to have that crisp color to it. And I understand that there are cases that a resistor has to be installed in order for the LED's to flash correctly, do the monte's need this or am I good to go and have nothing to worry about? And would this bulb be ideal/work....

Thanks ahead of time, you all are a great help!

I dont know about the reflector.

I know that you have to take apart the dash to get the climate controls out and replace the bulb. But they have to be soldered off. What alot of people do is replace them with LEDs.

Yes you do need a load equalizing Resistor in parallel with the LED.

That is just a reflector in your door. It's only there for when you open your door at night so an oncoming car could see it. Having a light would be pointless, and additional wiring and etc.

I think a light under the door panel would serve to be cool. Like how some trucks have. Open the door, it lights up the ground. A neat effect if you will.
