Default Factory Amp/Speakers Question

I heard that putting an aftermarket deck in with the factory amp makes the sound quality bad and that i should stick with my stock head unit. Is this true?

Im taking my Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD out of my old car and putting it in my new 03 Monte SS if that changes anything.

If you guys need more info let me know.

i dont think that is a true statement. if anything it should be a little better cause you should have a better EQ on that HU. iknow alot of people on here rock the stock amp with a new HU.

If you're going to install an aftermarket deck, I highly suggest bypassing the factory amp.
