Default Does anyone have the Pioneer App Radio?

Does anyone have the pioneer app radio? What wiring harness do I need for a aftermarket radio that has factory on star and XM radio and steering wheel controls? Will I still be able to utilize my factory steering wheel controls? Thanks

Pioneer makes an adapter that allows you to use steering wheel controls. You'll need a GMOS adapter to keep your chimes and On-Star. As far as integrating in the factory XM radio antenna, that's a good question, one I've always wondered about myself. It would be nice to be able to utilize that antenna. Just make for certain you stick with XM if you go that route because I don't know if the Sirius radios will respond to that antenna (yes, I know, they're the same company but the receivers are different)

That's a shame. Oh well, if I ever do get a car with factory sat radio, I'll just replace the antenna. No biggie considering the antenna farm that will be going on the truck later this year. Although I'd bet money that I can come up with something using the antenna itself, just use a different coax that will holt up. I have enough knowledge with that type of stuff that I could probably come up with something.

I already have a Sirius receiver and it would be nice to make it look as factory as possible if I were able to. I don't have a car that came from the factory with sat radio though so I can't try it out for myself at the moment. What I was talking about was I'm pretty sure (I'd have to grab an antenna from a junkyard to verify) that I can make an adapter that will allow you to use the factory antenna with a stand alone receiver or one built into an aftermarket deck. If nothing else it would probably come down to putting the proper fittings on the end of a cable, which is a piece of cake.
