i can tell ya i have tried thsi and it hasnt worked for my car, If you do a serch on thsi it is in one of the million post we have donehear about it.

glad to see it woerked for soemone.
when i did it all it did was throw a code for a high beam out on my car and i had to live with that till the replacement rely got over to Germany.

I saw this harrness and i have to say i would love to get it but the whole 75.00 is to ritch for my blood.
i also know tha tyou can take the wire out of the BCM and ad a switch in there and it will work like this harness.

Also make sure tha tyou check to see if the lights come on while in gear. even if they are not on while you sit there when you put the car in gear and drive they will come back on. so watch and see if this is the case for ya'll./

I might buy the harness later on but i do soooooooooo hate the DLR options on the montes.

I will not buy another car with them on it if there laws still havent changed they wioll not get the paper work singed from me to a dealer with those damed things ont eh car.

Let me clear up some things regarding the DRLs for you guys

1) The relay trick that White05LT posted will only work for the 05 model. This is because they switched the DRLs to the low beams. This will NOT work for the 2000-2004. You will get a 'Highbeam Out' indicator

2)

This is only true for 2005 as well. If you do this on the 2000-2004 you will get a Service Vehicle Soon message (and BCM code)

I didnt know that it only worked for the 2005 models. It did work for mine (2005), and a few other people. Hopefully this tip will save a few people some cash, I know that I just saved $75 bucks, and can put that towards me DHP PCM.

IT WORKS, IT WORKS!!!
6 years, 98k later and finally no DRL's. I'm ecstatic!! The auto on headlights still function, which is fine with me. Did I say no more DRL's?

update....no error codes or warning lights, no left highbeam tho. oh well I can live with that.

I am not positive but I think DRL are disabled if the parking brake is set. Readjust the park brake switch might work. But you might have the park brakewarning on. I have seen of Cavaliers with a hand brake there is a sweet spot where the DRL's are off and so is the brake light. You might try to push the park brake pedal down a click or 2, should turn off the DRL's and not far enough to move the rear brakes, just enough to take some slack out of the cables.

I haven't tried it it may not work I don't know for sure.

My exsperience:

Did this mod a couple of days ago. Waited a couple of days to post this to make sure there were no issues First I bent 87a and that didn't work. Then I accidently bent pin 85 and it works. Figured don't fix whats not broke so I didn't go back and bent it back then rebend 87. This is an 05 MC SS SC

I found that if you have the parking brake on and you start the car when it's dark out your head lights will not be on. they will only come on when you release the parking brake.
