Default Dented steering wheel emblem

Hey everyone,

I've seen this a lot on Chevys, my monte as well has a "dent" in the bowtie emblem on the steering wheel. I was wondering how I would go about removing that to pop it out without breaking it?

Thanks!

Thanks for the warning about the music And thanks for the video, but, how does one go about removing the airbag?

Also, completely off topic, but I saw this video while watching that one and all I have to say is damn, it must be nice to be rich

Just kidding about how to remove the airbag, found a video showing that too.

Is there any danger of the airbag deploying while out of the vehicle? Or does it need electricity to do so?

Technically, modern airbags are designed that if the ignition is not switched to ACC or ON there is no power to the system, so the airbags can't deploy.

If you want to be extra cautious, disconnect your negative battery terminal while you work. That will ensure there's no power to the system.
