I'm wanting to get an in dash dvd player for my 03 Monte SS. Preferably not one that flips out, but instead sits in the dash. I'm hoping for something about 5 inches, but Im not sure if that'll fit.

Not looking to spend a ridiculous amount, just something of quality, and for a fairly decent price.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

 

Well if it helps... I have tried putting in a double din into the monte and it fits but lookes terrible cuz of the rounded edges of the trim piece, which could lead to trimming it if you wanted. If you can find a 1.5 din then it would work better but there not easy to find, I just went with a flip out one and love it!

 

It just depends on the DD HU that you get. I have seen a few that look just fine and there was little to no modding. Me personally stuck with Alpine and Pioneer.

 

Here is a pic of my MC SS w/ an Eclipse 6620. Even though Eclipse is no longer selling in the USA anymore they are available. I just found a brand new one on craigslist for $350. Bought it to install in another vehicle of mine. All my cars have the Eclipse installed.

 

I hope the guy with the removeable faceplate shows up in this thread.
