does anyone know where they have custom clusters? or should i make a custom wiring harness and see if i can get a 2002 cadiliac seville cluster to work correctly in my 2000 monte ss? any suggestions?

 

How custom/different are you wanting to get? I actually really like the factory SS clusters. You could get an overlay to change the color from pfyc.com if you're wanting something like that.

Running the cluster from another car will take a lot of work.

 

You can also change out the lights to LEDs if you like that look.

bbengineer.com has good write-ups / he'll do it for you

 

The rule on this forum is that if you do a cool *** mod like that you MUST do a complete write up so we can do it too!

 

well i have access to see what pins associate with what on the clusters so i believe it should be possible, but the 02 caddy seville cluster looks 3d and is sick!
i will never put another overlay in though because one i bought before for my 99 silverado and it made my needles stick and i hated it. leds might be one option.
so i take it this hasnt been done really before?

 

Not that I can think of. If you do it though, you would be original and it would be very custom. It'll take time to do for sure.

 

Yeah, the wiring is just one issue. I think making a different cluster fit and look like it belongs there would be the hard part. You'd probably want to figure something out for the message center too, don't know how that would work.

 

if anyone can find a cheap ss monte wire harness, cluster, and caddy seville around 02 wire harness, and cluster, it would be nice if you can show me so i can figgure our wiring without messing up my wire harness and cluster
