if you wire the fan directly to the amp, make sure you hook up the positive wire (on the fan) to the accesory switch (in the amp)
again, you probably knew that. (just making sure though)

ya he was explaining his story and you were bragging, not flattering.

anyways save up for a better amp. you said its only 350 watts. a good one should run you anywhere form 150-250. maybe less if you buy used.

also where do you have it mounted, could you post a pic. i have mine on a rack{5 dollars and an afternoon} behind the seats, sandwiched inbetween the box. so basicly no air flow, lol but it works.

just try to give it a foot or 2 of air space, dont try to hide it.

bragging about going to jail?? it was something i could relate to so i thought i would put in a word about it(kinda joking? you know, "haha". that was kinda ignorant man. who the hell would be flatter'd about a story of going to jail anyway? jeeze, sorry to offend. its not like i was going into detail about what happened was i? now if i did that, then that would be considered trying to brag. agian sorry, just giving my 2 cents dude.

I live in Sacramento and it routinely hits triple digits here and I've never had an issue with my amps shutting down due to heat. I've always had them installed in less than ideal locations too...under the seats, in the trunk, behind the rear seats, etc., so i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's because of the cheap quality of the brand more than anything. My last amp was an AudioQue 1200 watt rms amp and I had it mounted in an amp rack right behind my back seats with a beauty board to hide all but the face of the amps....I'd bang the hell out of my system for an hour or two with no problems at all and it would be triple digits outside.

So you have two solutions.....get a better amp or install some fans to help with the cooling. I'd suggest the former.

Well I'm not gonna have enough money to get a new amp until this summer, so for now I'm just gonna try to set up something to cool it, probably just gonna mod the hell out of the case. What the hell did I miss?
