An amp isn't really going to draw more power once it's hot, so don't worry about that. Your battery and alternator will be fine, at least in this sense.

Both of my amps are cooled with heatsinks and they've never over heated on me (the heatsinks are huge though). Computer case fans won't hurt anything, but I can't imagine them helping much either. If you really want to go fan-cooled, you'll need a more substantial fan, like this one:

since youre good with computers, you could run the wires from the fan off the power inputs on the amp with no need for an inline fuse. (LOL but you already knew that) (sir)
jk by the way

Ah but that cost money my kind sir lol, i just happen to have about 6 8cm case fans lying around, at this point any air flow will be helpful lol

Well I also assumed you wouldn't want to be openning up the amp, so that was more aimed at external air movement. I can't say much about internal fans, but I don't even know if an 8cm fan would fit inside in any useful way.

You could maybe line the external part of the heatsink(s) with fans since you have them. Just seems like a lot of effort to keep a junk amp from overheating lol.

That is what happens to cheaper amps. I had a cheap Phoenix Gold amp (Which used to be a REALLY good brand) now they crap. It used to overheat not right away but after 30 min. Go by a laptop cooler and hard wire it into your car and set the amp on top of it lol. I laugh but that actually might be a good idea. I hear pouring a bucket of water over amps helps to cool them off too lol.

PS- Don't call me Sir that my dad.
