Change bulb
The climate conrol light on my center dash went out (Passenger heat and cool). How would I change the light? It doesnt appear I can go from under neath so would I need to take all the inteior trim covers off to get to it? And does anone know what bulb to use?

If your speaking of about the lights for the slider controls, the unit has to be removed to repair them. The bulbs are soldered in place and from what I understood this is meant to be a whole unit replacement, a non-repairable item.
I ended up getting a different unit off of eBay for like $35 and swapped it out with my malfunctioning unit. I wrote the seller and told them they needed to make sure the light bulbs were working as thats why I'm buying it. It's just a plug-n-play situation then instead of finding the minature bulbs and soldering them into place.
A member posted a video on YouTube on how to repmove and replace the dash bezel, pretty easy cheesy, a few screws and a few electrical snap connectors and it's out.

IF you're talking about the illumination of the panel, those are just small leaded 12V bulbs that are soldered in place.
If you're talking about the lights behind the buttons, those are LEDs. It's unlikely that one would burn out. It could be a broken solder joint.

I know a member a while ago put led strips in his and it didn't look bad because it lit up everything. Here is the link. https://montecarloforum.com/forum/in...version-47288/

The whole unit generally doesn't go out, the solders on the lights will break instead. Sometimes hitting the HVAC unit with some good force will realign those solders until they get worse again.
Or you can watch my video above to pull out the HVAC and get yourself a new one.
