Question Boost gauge gremlin?

Ok so as most of yall know i got an '04 intimidator ss but recently my boost gauge has been reading kinda funny...as in the needle is now upside down and will not return to the normal position . it started by scaring the $#!t out of me and readin over 10psi at light throttle (i have no upgrades that will add boost) so fearing a problem with the bypass valve i pulled over and shut the car down. Ithe realized that the needle never returned to -10 but rather to 0 so then i re-started the car and it did the wake-up and read from there and the next time i shut it down the needle stayed at +10 and now it reads upside down. I hav been driving the car this way fo a while now and I do not have a "check gauges" light and there have been no ill effects on the car so what gives? any ideas anybody?

about a month ago my boost gauge wasn't reading correctly. it fixed itself the next time i drove it. my speedo reads the wrong speed every once in a while. these electronic gauges in these cars are retarded.

ahh this suckS cause i was told its $300+ for a new cluster and that that is probably the only way to fix it. I was hopeful for a little while cause it seemed to have fixed itself for a few days but now its permanantly upside down, its not a big deal just bugs me a little bit cause it looks funny.
P.S. its nice to see sombody else with a beautiful intimidator

yah i have an 04 ss, back in 05 some dude from work wanted race when we got off late so i turned off the trac control and let'er rip! needless to say i whiped his BEhind, but my RPM guage kept just jumping around. i brought it to the chevy place the next day (still had warranty) they eneded up replaceing the whole thing and wouldn't tell me what was wrong with it (the mechanic had left for "lunch") hasn't happened sence.

send it to bbengineer and get the motor replaced, its really common and is a common topic on here, will cost $120 plus shipping to get fixed with upgraded motors....

Could just be the stepper motor, In the how-to section we have a gauge cluster fix thread and you can DIY

It definitely sounds like a stepper motor problem... you can fix it yourself, or I offer a repair service...

My turn around is typically 1 day from when I receive the cluster, then 2-3 days return shipping via USPS Priority

You can actually drive the car w/o the cluster if you are careful (speed, gas level, etc)
