Default Bench seat to Buckets plus console

Got a 3rd Generation Monte Carlo (1978) "305" automatic with bench seat. Would like to switch to buckets and install a console. My problem is figuring out what would be a good donor for the items. I want to keep the automatic if this makes a difference in the console. Any help or ideas out there.

- Pontiac GPs. Have GP buckets in my 82 El Camino. Forget the whole console, get your mitts on something like a B&M MegaShifter, like me. =)

mid 70's Grand Prix, Regal or cutlass. Or you could go with a modern interior from anything with a wider body style like a Bonneville or a Cadillac. Maybe even a Chrysler sebring or newer charger. You can make anything work with a little imagination and some creativity.

i have the correct console for that car. you could buy it off of me. was never a huge fan of them, but they are worth tons of money. the mid 70s stuff is probably going to be way too long. i currently run buckets from a 80s charger, and a megashifter. i doubt any of the other factory consoles will fit without major modification, with the exception being the 78-88 gbody stuff(obviously). buckets are pretty much about measuring. your best bet for this conversion is to find a 4th gen monte ls with buckets and a console, and take everything with you. pm me if you are interested in the console. its a burgundy color and has everything except the ash tray door. i have no idea where that has made its way to. i was using it as a template to make a spot for a gauge cluster. you can also run a aftermarket shifter in it. i ran it with a promatic 2 instead of the factory shifter with no problems.
