Exclamation Bench seat to Bucket seats swap

I need some assistance on figuring out how to fit Buckets into my monte, i have a horrible bench seat in it now, and i am wondering if there is a simple way to swap the bench to buckets. I'm new here and am lookin for some advice! thanks!!

I proudly own a 1985 Monte!

If it has a split bench just get buckets from a bucket seat g-body and theyll bolt right in. If solid bench, youll have to add mounts by the tranny tunnel

Easier to just cut from donor
You could just drill holes for the inner bolts

No prob. If you find g body buckets, 90-97 t-bird/couger buckets are easy to adapt.

Put the seats in the car to figure out the positioning of the brackets then mark the holes. then remove the seats and use a punch to see where the holes are gonna go through. that way you wont damage anything.

I would check your local salvage yard for some bucket seats from a early 90s 4 door like the buick park ave or the olds delta 88. they are a good wide seat and they are really comfortable.

and also the seats from a z24 are the same as the ss buckets. you will need G body tracks but the seats are the same.
or you can always go newer. i am installing a set of z34 leather seats in my 84 right now.

That's cool! I didn't know z24 seats were the same as ss seats! I'd like to change my crappy bench seat too. Not exactly the best for high speed out a curvy road. I get thrown clear across the car sometimes. lol
