So my 07 ss did NOT come with a alarm system, which around st. louis, you DO need sadly, anyone else ss was like this and what alarm do you guys usually get? I had a auto page on the white one..

 

I have CompuStar with the DroneMobile add, it gives warning via cell signal so you don't have to be in hearing range & can start it up from an app on my phone.

Have the same system in son's truck as it adds live tracking in case it disappears from the college parking lot.

 

I still have a Code Alarm on the MonteCarlo.
Apparently, Code Alarm now has bigger and better units than the one I bought 14 yrs ago... For Mine
I have a Viper on my Silverado.. And it also seems to be a really good system...It has all kinda things you can have it do... Like for instance...
Say you parked your vehicle with the windows down... When you set the alarm... It automatically closes the windows at the same time! as well as lock the doors etc.. Or has the pop the trunk open mode, turn on or off the heater/ac.. or rear defogger..Just with a push of the buttons in a certain sequence...

I guess it all boils down to what you want out of an alarm system!

 

stumpi...i want your alarm, ahaha. Its weird though because mine has remote start & all, but the alarm bulb doesnt light up like I have a alarm at all.

I had a Code Alarm 6551 on my Monte. I was very happy with it, it has everything. 2-Way remote, alarm, remote start, etc. I think I got it installed for around $400.
