Default Aftermarket Headlight Bulbs

I am looking for good low beam headlights for my 04 Monte and I am looking for someone's opinion that knows more about this. I am considering buying an HID Xenon kit but I'm debating on the 6000k or 8000k. I know that 8000k is more of a blue, but I just can't make up my mind. Also I need advice on what kind of high beams to get if I change them also. If anyone has a recommendation or info they can give I will greatly appreciate it!

Also subscribing.

What about LED as Cree LEDs work pretty good.

I have a flashlight with three Cree LED (3800 Lumens) and bright.

I am thinking about getting a set myself for high/low beams for my 2006.

I have also considered LEDs. They are expensive, but with the price of some HIDs, the LEDs would probably be the better choice because they last so long. So many options... Just don't know what to go with

I can't offer any info on LED headlights as i haven't used them. If you're looking for maximum light output for HIDs, stick around 5000-6000k. The more blue you go, the less light output you get. I had 35w 5000k in my old monte and it was pretty decent for the crappy lenses it had.

Alot of people don't get HID's for high beams since our cars use high beams at 50% power for daytime running lights, it can damage the HID setup. Best bet would be to invest in some good standard halogen bulbs. Alot of people say with HID low you don't need high, i disagree but i live in a more rural setting.

I have Sylvania zxe white halogens, they are much brighter than the stock, I was looking into the HID set up, my nephew got them for his toyo but I didn't like the wiring set up. was a lot easier to install stock bulbs, although his were a lot brighter! but I put in cree led fog light bulbs off of e-bay as I use these for driving lights and they are bright as ****!!!

I wouldn't reccomend sylvania zxe bulbs as the blue tint on them is going to reduce output. Best bet is just good halogen bulbs, hid's or leds

I have hids that are the 55w 6000k in my low beams. They are pretty much white and are bright so I never need my high beams. Your best bet is to just leave your stock bulbs in the high beams and worry about the low beams.
