Default Add Aux Port to Stock Radio

Hi,

I've got a '03 Monte Carlo and I am pretty lost as to what would be compatible with the stock radio to add an aux port. I am so sick of FM Modulators, I hate the static and all that so I really want a hardwired port.

I've found the pxdx adapter (
Amazon.com: PAC Aux2Car iSimple Universal Auxiliary Audio Input Interface: Car Electronics Amazon.com: PAC Aux2Car iSimple Universal Auxiliary Audio Input Interface: Car Electronics
) with corresponding gm harness (
Amazon.com: PAC 00-05 Adapter Cable 12-Pin for General Motors: MP3 Players & Accessories Amazon.com: PAC 00-05 Adapter Cable 12-Pin for General Motors: MP3 Players & Accessories
) but I can't find anything to make sure that this would work on my stock radio.

If anyone can help confirm this would work I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I have wondered the same when it comes to keeping the factory radio but staying away from those annoying FM transmitters. Best Buy I know has a kit that allows you to add an aux port. It looks like your kit uses the CD changer port on the radio which I have never actually seen before on the back that I can remember. Here's another product to look at...

Well I took the plunge and ordered it today. I'll report back how it works out. Fingers crossed it goes easy and works first go around.

Well good news, it works flawlessly. Took about 20 minutes to put in, tapped the 12 volt and ground right off the main connector and it works by just pushing the CD AUX button. Great sound quality at a very reasonable volume.

Where do you have the aux input? Glove compartment?

Congrats, I would like to see pics.

I'm looking to do the same thing. Question...was there a wire originally plugged into the small (12 pin?) connector on the back of the radio? If so, what did you do with it? Thanks.
