Default 6th gen rear seat mod

Hey yall, ive been thinking about removing my back seat and making a custom storage container, much like a truck bed tool box in place of my rear seat due to me always having to lug my tools everywhere. I was wondering if anyone has done anything to mod their rear seat in anyway.

The bottom part of the seat is easy to remove, if the back part drops down, there's a good amount of bolts n nuts to remove.
If you go through with removing your back seat as to use that area for tools, etc..I would suggest checking for wire harness' that may be ran under the seat, just be mindful of that so you don't damage them when u toss tools in the back.
If you wanted to make it look good back there, I would fashion up a tray of sorts...or even just a board to lay across that area. Carpet it, or paint it black, glue tool box drawer liners onto it...you're only limited by your ideas.
My GP has had the rear seat removed for weight reduction for a cpl yrs now, and I've been known to toss tools n such back there as well. I can say that overall, the trunk is still easier to access your stuff, as compared to ruling the seat forward and wrestling you're stuff or between the door frame and the seat, but if you don't mind, then..cool..it up to you.

I have mine removed and carpeted in with subs back there. I'm not to sure how nice a tool box would be back there but if your creative enough I'm sure it could look great. Keep us posted if you do this and be sure to post pics i would like to see this completed

That is a good idea for tools if you are not using it. Let us all know how it goes.

Just don't stick a gaudy diamond plate tool chest back there.

If you wrap it nicely and conceal it, I think it could look sharp.
