Default 6.5" Speakers

Okay, so as far as I can understand, 6.5" is the correct size for the front speakers.

Here is what I am currently looking at, I have decided to go with Rockford Fosgate.

ROCKFORD FOSGATE R165 6.5" 2 WAY PRIME SERIES FULL RANGE CAR SPEAKERS 160W NEW (780687340407) | eBay

Rockford Fosgate R1653 Prime 6-1/2" 3-Way Car Speakers | eBay

Which one should I get?

I'd say the 2 way.....the 3 ways won't be much of an improvement, if one at all due to the tiny drivers.

6.5 will work but you may need to do some trimming to the door trim and bracket, also you may need molding clay to seal a gap between the door speaker and mount.

I would look for a component set, you'll get more sound for your buck, but of the two you posted I would go with the 2-ways

What makes you think I'll need to trim with 6.5"? I tried to put 5 1/4" in and they didn't even come close to fitting. Zeke already told me 6.5" is what I need. And aren't screws used to seal the gap?

Get components or save $6 and get the 2-ways?

Rockford Fosgate R165 6-1/2" 2-Way Prime Coaxial 6.5" Car Stereo Speakers | eBay

I was looking at those components myself. I'd pick them over the two ways.

They should mount fine.

Speakers like this Alpine type R fit perfect

But speakers like this JL Audio c2 wont fit properly without some slight modification

Both are 6.5" Speakers
