I just bought a 95 Monte Carlo LS and love it! First thing I want to do is upgrade the factory speakers. I know that the factory door speakers are 5 1/4" but Best Buy told me that with a special adapter they can install 6 1/2" speakers. Has anyone try this already? I'm interested in the Infinity Kappa 60.7 components. I don't want to buy the speakers (thru mail order) and they tell me at the last minute that they can't make them fit.

 

they do make adapters for them, but I dont know how much room you have behind the door panels, they may stick out too much, and you may not be able to use them anyway. Don't go to Best Buy anyway, or Circuit city for that matter. You can get better prices, and great service on the internet... try www.sonicelectronix.com or www.crutchfield.com. Both have a much larger selection and better prices. Good luck.
