Lightbulb 2003 Monte Carlo SS I want heated seats! Help!

Hey guys, I have a 2003 Monte Carlo ss, It is fully loaded but does't have Heated seats.. so i guess not "fully loaded" however i want to put a set in there, my leather seats are in good shape however i live in illinois and its cold, im looking to put a set of heated leather seats in it and i was curious what it will take, i have the spot where the switches would go. I found a guy that is selling a like new set of heated seats with the center council and it came out of an 03 ss monte carlo. Has anyone done it? is it worth the money? He wants 600 ( i feel thats kind of high but he is willing to negotiate). Let me know your inputs and opinions! A how to wouldbe awesome!

Why not just buy a aftermarket heated seat kit?

I have never looked into that, however i know any upholstery is expensive and im sure it would be required.

I think you could find a good set cheaper than that, 600 seems a bit high. To install the aftermarket kit all you need to do is remove the clips on the bottom of the seat and peal back the material exposing the foam underneath. Then place the heat element on the foam and put the material back on. No new upholstery should be needed

I'll never own a car with leather and no heated seats

It's retarded easy to tears apart these seats. Installing a set yourself would be the cheapest route, but harder cus you have you rig up the wiring/switches/ect.

Make a deal on the other seats and sell your originals
