Default 2003 monte ss heated seat help!!!

Ok, this is my first car with heated seats. i like the feature alot but for some reason for the past week, the drivers side would not shut off. I adjusted the hi/low switch several times, thinking it was "on", but it never shuts off. i had to unplug it under the seat but now i cant use the power options for the seat, which i knew wouldnt happen. can anyone explain to me why its always on and perhaps how to fix it? thanks!

My first guess would be the problem is in the switch itself. Never having experienced this issue I am purely speculating, but that is where I would start first.

My heated seat feels like it is shorting out in the back of my left leg when I turn it on so I never use mine.

Not having pulled the switches myself I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. From a quick look at my center console it appears as if it would pop out from the console, but I would first open the armrest box and see if it it can be unscrewed and pulled up and out allowing you access from the back. This is just how I would start to tear it apart.

here is a step by step guide that I found on the forum. Hopefully it will answer your questions better than I could
