I have not ripped one of those open, but I have sen many threads about it. The bulbs are an odd ball long life bulb that is soldered to the control board.
You will need to remove the control unit, disassemble and use a soldering iron to service it. I believe you might be able to replace with LEDs (but you will need a resistor in line with the LED).

I'll see if I can get the bulb info I used on my 05 Impala. I'm fairly certain they would be the same.
https://www.radioshack.com/products/...white-led-2-pk You'll have to figure out what the LED is. This is for the regular bulb. It's very easy to remove the old bulbs and solder new ones in. Be aware that you can break the ***** off but you could always glue them back in or junkyard some more.
