Default 02 SS seat sits too high-FIXED

I have an 02 SS with black leather power seats. The rear part of the passenger seat seems to sit about an inch lower than the rear of the drivers seat. The drivers seat is a bit too high. There is a rectangle button on the side that seems to move the seat forward, back tilt the front up and down, and maybe tilt the rear of the seat up and down. The latter doesn't seem to happen I believe I can hear a motor noise but no movement. This is the only awkward part of driving the car. Is there actually a rear or seat adjustment (the part your butt sits)? Or is this wishful thinking?
Thanks!

Yes, the rear of the seat should go up and down. If it doesn't but the motor runs, it could be the drive cable that connects the motor to the seat mechanism. It could also be something more serious, like a broken gear. The only way to tell is to pull the seat and check.

Cool, will pull it out as soon as it gets above freezing here might be a good time to repair my bun warmers, too. I saw a good thread on that!

I removed the seat and found a little speedo cable looking thing about four inches long, enclosed in a heavy rubber tube. The rubber tube was kinked, making the cable too short to connect in the motor. I simply pulled it out, heated the tube and straightened it out, and re-installed it. The seat works fine now. I did the passenger side with out removing the seat.
Moral of the story- don't stuff crap under the seat!
