Hello,

New to the forums. Hi everyone. I've got a problem with my 01 Monte SS. The passenger side door speaker seems to work intermittently. Most of the time if I adjust the balance controls it sounds like only the high notes are coming from that speaker. Occasionally something will happen and I'll get full sound out if it.

Is this a problem with the speaker itself or the wiring leading to the speaker?

 

Try cleaning the connectors that plug into the amp (located in trunk under rear deck between speakers). My '03 did this shortly after purchase and the problem went away after cleaning the connectors with electronic contact cleaner.

First, I'm not a audio expert , but it sounds like it could be a problem with a cracked wire since it is working intermittently (?). Check your wires & connections + check back to see what our Audio Tech member's suggest when they read your thread > Good Luck !
