Default ZZP High Flow Catted Down Pipe

i am thinking about installing one of these on my 01 SS and was wondering if it affects the sound, preferably deeper and louder tone.

It will get slightly louder, but the mufflers are the biggest sound changer on these cars

i have my local exhuast shops brand that are basically magnaflow mufflers on there right now, just wondered if i put a high flow downpipe in along with maybe a smaller resonator if it would stay deep in tone but bring up the loudness when not on throttle.

It's slight, but it will. The downpipe is a great mod though to kill the u-bend

I have the catted downpipe with dynomax and stock resonator, it will be removed or replaced with something better soon lol, and I love the sound of my car now, before it was extremely quiet but now it has a nice rumble at highway speeds, well as nice as you can get with a 6 cylinder. There is a nice rumble when you walk behind the car. You won't be disappointed with the purchase

Get the uncatted one and get a tune for the CEL. You might even throw a code anyway after a while with the catted version so you might as well.

i'm setting up a trip to the shop to get both axles replaced and do a downpipe while they are at it.

i need to track down the dude that does code mods. i liked the deal where he added run time to the radiator fans.

talking about the sound.. i have the magnaflow cat back and i really love when the engine runs through about 2500 to 3500 rpm under a heavy foot in second gear.

on the way to and from work i pass by an area where the sound reflects back so you hear it when you romp on it...

best of all its quiet when you want to be. mine is so quiet on the highway that the left side ac vent rattle bugs me.

while im at it there is a butt load of montes in lexington ky.

so far theres 3 all black ones like mine, more white ones than i have fingers, an awesome yellow sc, even a purple one. and then a half red / half white one.

oh, found out i have f3 suspension
