Default ZZP no-cat down pipe - Is it worth it?

So, I have been thinking about picking one of these up, but have to wonder if the performance gains will be worth the cost.

I also have other questions, will I need the o2 emulator? Will i need 2 emulators one pre and one post "cat".

What effect would this have on exhaust sound? Would it be "ricey"

If I were to "gut" my airbox, would it have any effect on the above questions?

some one post a pick of that really akward part of the 6th gen exhaust. idk how much they cost, but once you see the pic you'll realize that you want one. and a high flow cat would get you the ponys and the sound your looking for.

i havent heard a v6 ever sound ricey. lol nice term
i think thats a 4 cylinder thang.

Chris and Mak, that is the primary reason i'm thinking of the mod, that u bend is nasty, though i can't be certain it exists on the '05 model. I havent had a chance to look under the car, and I see a lot of parts for u bend and o2 replicator, but nothing for the '05

not sure, that looks rough, but mike had a different pic that looked worse. im not sure what model they stoped that. i would think that since you have the same engine, you might have the same exhasut. what are you waiting for , grab a shovel, a jack, and a flashlight. lol

I did a little more thinking, saigashooter, you have a 3.5? the ubend was only on the 3.8!! that is my answer and I'm sticking to it

Ahh, the '05 still had the 3.8, thus it likely has the u-bend.

Oh and speed skating may rock, but ice dancing has no business being a sport.

No, I have the 3.8 NA, the 3.5 wasn't available until the 2006 model year.

2005 offered the 3.4 on the LS the 3.8 NA on the LT and the 3.8 SC on the SS model
