Thumbs up Wizaired Cold Air Intake Review

I recently purchased and installed the Wizaired Cold Air intake form ZZPerformance.com

I thought i make a review of it, now i cant compare it to others because i have used the other brands. The price is reasonable compared to others especially compared to its biggest competitor the K&N. Installation was quite simple with the included instructions and i also had quick shipping from ZZPerfomance(good job ZZP).

The first think i noticed was the sound. Of course it has a whistling sound to it that sometime reminds me of a turbo blow off valve when i let off the gas. But it makes the engine much louder from around 3000RPM till it shifts. between 4500 and 5300RPM its really loud under WOT. The best way to describe the sound at first i thought of, if you could mix the sounds of a viper and an LT1 together thats what the sound would be like. other times i think it sounds like a highly modified 350Z of something similar under WOT.

The performance of it is great, I can notice it but the performance is probably greater for me as i have the 2.5 ZZP downpipe as well as a dyno tune that has the air fuel ratio modified. And i dont know if this would have any thing to do with it but the car shifts much better and smother and sounds good as it shifts as it goes right into gear(also modified in my dyno tune.).

As far as gas milage i havent noticed much as i have not driven the car to get good gas milage since i installed it but within in the next week i should have a good read on it.

I would recommend this to anyone thinking about getting one. i think it looks good in my opinion. it has a great design as its a enclosed box and getting the most cold air it can, noticeable temperature change on the gauge in dash.

Hope this helps anyone out who is debating on intakes!!!

Thank you for the post.
Once this baby is paid off, i am going Wiz aired all the way.
I've read about CAI and i think the word around here is, K&N for looks and Wiz for performance.
So i will be going Wiz, IMO it looks better too. :P !

I got the K&N FIPK.

My tune kind of alters the impact that the hot air will have on my car in the summer (it's not MUCH but it's worse than the wizaired) so it's not tooo bad, but I still kind of wish I had the wizaired.

I've had the wizaird since the summer and love it. IAT stay right around ambiant temp even when idling. The sound of the supercharger is awesome too when you step on it

for your 07 you would get one from Cold Air Inductions.

MaMonte has it, if you want to ask him questions.

As Chibiblacksheep said, no, the Wizaired will not work on your 07 Monte.

go to www.coldairinductions.com their intake box looks, and performs great!

I have it on my 3.5L, and noticed a huge difference in noise (it sounds great with the CAI/ exhaust combo), and I noticed a pretty good difference in the upper RPM range (say above 4,000 RPM). Overall, it was worth the money for sure!

You can see pics of it installed if you look at my album.
