Exhaust Build: Where could I find headers for a 3400
Theres the possibility but it might be just as easy to fab them yourself at that point. 3800 is a 90* engine and the 3400 is a 60*, among other differences.
These should fit but confirm from someone else here first.

Never seen it done, but certainly its possible. Obviously the downpipe up to the crossover would all remain the same as theyre based on the car body and trans, it would really just be the primaries and collectors you'd be messing with.
Unfortunately in terms of number of welds, those areas make up the majority. Given the bank angle, I suspect this isn't as straightforward as just welding on some new flanges. If you went this route, I'd probably buy fairly cheap headers as you're going to be hacking them all up anyways.
As whitemonte said, I'd also be tempted to fab them from scratch if you've got the ability.
IMO I'd be real careful. There are several folks that have run into crazy long delays (several years) pre-ordering stuff there.
If they had them in stock, thats one thing, but I'd be afraid to plunk down that kind of money on something with an indefinite lead time where you may be beyond the limits of your credit card to protect you.

One other thought - I see in another thread you had mentioned wanting to do a 3800 or LS4 swap.
If your free time and mod budget allows for $950 headers + time and materials chopping them up to modify them to fit, have you thought about just doing a L67 swap? Id think in terms of both time and money, you'd be very comparable between the two. You'd definitely have a lot more power gains from the swap vs headers.

Wasting time and money trying to make that motor go fast. As others have said, do a motor swap to something that is more HP friendly.

Everything here depends on what you are trying to do. I live a little of both worlds. I have a 3800 L36 Monte Carlo and I have a 3400 LA1 Grand Am. To my knowledge, there are no pre-fab bolt on 3400 headers for a W-body car (the Monte), there are pre-fab headers for the 3400 in a N-Body car (the Grand Am). But, I don't believe Grand Am headers fit in a W-body (they might, but it may also require some custom fabrication).
There was a guy who custom built a turbo set up for his 3400 power-ed Monte and as I understood made some good power off it. Anything is possible if you are willing to do the time and spend the money.
If you just want to tinker with the 3400 and squeeze a little more juice from it, check this thread below to get you started:

My Grand Am is full of "budget mods". Granted, it's a Grand Am so suspension mods and such on it don't apply to the Monte. But all the mods have made the car a BETTER car to enjoy.

You picked the wrong car if you want to go fast. Even my 3800 SC is slow compared to other stuff out there. You realize you can get an old 3800 Supercharged in a Grand Prix that will fly, or a V6 turbo Cobalt? Getting a lighter car is like getting free HP. Unless you are in love with that MC consider something better for going fast, if that is your intention.
You know you said the same thing 2 posts ago, I think he gets your point. I don't think we need to keep hammering the guy on how slow his car is.
I don't disagree that a different car is the best path forward to go significantly faster. I do disagree that a GP or a Cobalt is the best way though. Some kind of LS RWD platform would be a much better choice.
However if he's asking about mods for his current car, that usually means spending more money on a quicker car isn't in the cards.

This thread got off topic and I removed posts.
The OP never stated his goals or budget and suddenly this turns into a full build argument and pushing him to go with another platform. The question has been answered, thread is now locked.
