What mufflers should I get for my 97 z34? I want something fairly loud with a nice snarl to them when I rev it. Also, what size do they need to be to fit in place of the stock mufflers? 2" or 2 1/4"? Thanks

i have a pair of flowmaster origional 40s, it sounds pretty badass, but im upgrading to the super 44's. has more of a low growl and a better sound for our v6's. and as far as size it shouldnt matter ANY reputiable muffler shop can work with it. . i can supply you with clips if youd like?

Thank, if you could get clips that would be awesome. I was wondering the size because I want to just be able to cut the old mufflers off andclamp new ones on and if I ever want the stock ones back on, I can just weld them back on. I dont want to have to modify the stock pipe at all.

I just looked at stock mufflers on napa auto part's site and it says they are 2" inlet 2.25" outlet. Does that (2") sound right for pipe size after the yor does the pipe get smaller when it meets the muffler?

For my car my mufflers where 2 1/4". I love my Flowmaster 40's sound badass. Nice deep growl at idleand when you get on it screams and you can hear coming.
