Thats so dumb, hopefully you can try to get a shop that will actually do it. Everywhere I go people try to take advantage of me because im 17..... So consider yourself lucky haha.

 

lol that's funny i work at a speed shop and we get 30-60whp gains all the time on a our dyno from doing long tube headers, no cats, all 3" piping and race mufflers. So that's more to lose on the back pressure then just removing a cat. lol Hell my car went from stock 310whp to 355whp just doing full exhaust not cats and i added a heaver clutch at the same time so that killed some power. So he needs to think a little more. lol It may loose a little low end torq but not where it matters and the hp makes up for it
