Default Throttle Body (Spacers)

I've been having some issues with finding info, and I find a lot of mixed feelings. I was wondering if TBS (Throttle Body Spacers) Would have any benefit to my 06 Monte SS (5.3 V8).

In the future I may get a new TB but until I have the money to do proper programming I just look into just the spacers.

Any suggestions? I know LS1 forum suggested them but not sure on if they are practical or not... yes I read they have a hiss to them.

Potential purchase: TB Spacer. Airraid Throttle Body Spacer

I don't see a point in them unless you need a place to tap for nitrous. You aren't going to be pulling in so much hot air that you need that little extra space

does that apply only to the 5.3? I have an 04 ss s/c and I bought a TBS from ZZP because they told me it would lower my kr.

No, it applies to all engines basically, you're really not doing anything by adding that extra inch or whatever it is

Trewyn15 is correct. I don't see it lowering kr and if it does it won't be enough to male a difference.

Is this something that easy for any body shop to put in? When I buy my next 7th gen SS id like to have one installed cause I like that hiss.

Is a tb spacer easy to install?

Yes, it's just removing your TB and putting the spacer on, along with 2 gaskets, then putting your TB back on that.
