Question suggestions on muffler for 3500

I need to get a bit of a better sound from my Monte! I have been looking for aftermarket muffler for a while now and I'm still not to sure what to go with... Ive been so busy lately I haven't even had the chance to see what my inlet/outlet size is, if anyone knows that off hand for an 06 3.5lt?

I'm looking for a muffler that will give me a bit of a noise increase but not so much to be bothered by cops. Also not looking to spend massive amounts on a muffler. I would also like to not have to sacrifice mpg's but I don't even know if an aftermarket muffler hurts mpg's or benefits them? I wish I could just hear how maybe a flowmaster or magnaflow would sound on my 3500 so if anyone has any videos or sound clips you would be greatly helping me out!

MaMonte Mike has a 3.5 and he just shortened the resonator, and put magnaflows on, while making it a dual with a y-pipe.

All that sounds pretty cool, i always wanted a dual on the monte... but for now i just want a simple muffler install. Any idea of the inlet/outlet size for my car?

I don't know, you should just need to match the inlet though, since the outlet will just be what tips you want. If you have a string you can measure it, it's possibly 2.25" maybe 2.5" i'm just not 100% someone with the car may chime in.

Wow that both sounds and looks really sweet on an LS!!! For a set up like that it does need another Catalytic correct? If so, i dont have the money for another cat... yet lol but i MUST do this to my LT!!!

Since no one runs a true-dual on these cars you only need the one cat. After the Catalytic converter there is a resonator, then you have a Y-Pipe splitting to 2 mufflers.
