straight piped 3.4?
what sucking a valve means to much suction at one end or anouther will will a valve down to far and bend it. or pull it out of the head compleatly and damage the engine do to lack of back pressure. if you run a car just a muffler and headers your fine running a car for a long periods with out. a muffler or some thing creating some back pressure will do that. why do you think drag cars rebuild there engens every time the event is over that is one big reason the outher is the set up. there is your facepalm moment
I have never seen or heard anyone have that problem. Dragsters dont rebuild their engines because they "suck down" valves. They rebuild them because they are running an excess of 8000hp and they puts a severe strain on the engine components to the point they can only handle one run reliably. I would like to see one credibly article explaining "sucking down" a valve. Sounds like another one of those no backpressure myths to me.
never heard of it eather...and have you even been to a strip other than the nationals? there are more guys that run open headers or headers and a little bit of extention off the back than there is
people on this forum...to me what your what your explaining is inproper build, forgeting to put in the holds or breaking a valve spring and losing the holds then somthing like that may happen
