What engine do you have, the 3400 or the 3.4 DOHC? Neither will sound good with the cat removed. The 660 engines sound kinda raspy without the cat.

You shouldn't. On these cars doing a straight pipe does not = good sounds or HP gains.

I would just research a nice muffler... I've heard good things about flowmaster on the 3.4

x10 on not doing it at all. IMO, you really should leave some sort of muffler, glasspack or something in there- cat or not. If you cut everything out of the exhaust, its going to be irritating loud, and probably not much if any faster than stock.

there wont be enough back pressure for the engine youll suck down a valve. pluse when you try to accelerate it will feel like your sitting there and it will be discustingly loud. there are alot of red necks neer me thinks that running just headers and no exaughst is cool but it isnt. one of them tryed to pass me and it seemed like it was stugeling with high rev and going reiculusly slow.
