well i had to remove the cot and resonator because they had rusted through. so i figured while the exhaust was off it wouldnt hurt. plus i couldnt find any vids of the 3800 with a straight pipe only the 3100 and 3600 and they sounded nice. they were my only reference.
but i like the sound now

 

And I still suggest putting some resonated tips on the end of your pipes also. It will give you a deeper SMOOTHER sound out of that glasspack, I mean its gonna make it sound better overall. Got a sound clip though??

 

thanks. i taped off the lines and then sprayed them with fusion satin blk. then removed the tape to show the original polished metal area.
i think it looks much better also. i was gonna paint the center bowtie black but decided not to. it would look cheesy

 

Maybe get a black bowtie decal for the middle of it, somthing like 2 X 1 1/4" . I think that would look good, not too "off"

this is with only a thrush glasspack.
it sounds like a nice pur at regular cruising. then gets just how i like it when i open it up. about 3500- 4000 is when it starts to growl. crappy mic on the camera

it has a polish bowtie already there in the center cap i was thinking just to piant that black. my gf is an artist so she has a steady hand.
