Resonator
I'm considering weather to get a Glass Pack Resonator or just put in a Pipe to replace the CRACKED Stock Resonator currently on my Monte.
I like the sound I am getting now with the Resonator cracked all the way down the middle. But the sound comes from under the car not out the back.
I've got a New Magnaflow Cat on it and wanted to continue with that line but I don't need to whole exhaust. I had Magnaflow on my 88 IRoc 350 and loved it! My Intermittent pipe and mufflers are in excellent shape. The Only Resonator I can find that is not part of a full Cat Back system is Walker.
So what do you guys and gals think? Should I get the Walker Resonator, Just Put in a Straight pipe or keep on looking for the Magnaflow Resonator? Remember, I want to keep the Deep tone the car has now but want to move it back to where it belongs in the rear of the car!!!

Hi Tad, Thanks for the reply. Correct me if I am wrong but you have a V8 don't you?
I have found in my auto motive endeavours that putting a V8 exhaust on a smaller motor gives the exhaust that Tinny Honda sound. Want my Monte to sound like a young Tiger purring, not a mouse sneezing.

I had issues with 3 trips and 2 after market resonators on my Monte in about 5,000 miles. I finally asked the shop to just cut the res out, put in a piece of pipe and call it a day. Never looked back. The exhaust note sounds just a touch "tinny" compared to before, BUT on the trade, I got some performance you can FEEL out of ditching that thing.
I say put a piece of pipe in.... If you really wanna change the exhaust sound, change out the mufflers themselves.

Jc post a video of the sound and how much it cost. I'm definantly considering doing this.

I straight pipped mine with res delete, but I'll be getting some mufflers soon!
