Default Ram Air Hood?

I know there are two of these... the one I am looking at is on PFYC. I'm wandering mainly if anyone has any experience with the cold air intake by SLP that is made for it to be functional and how well it works. I was wandering if I would still be better off getting some other kind of cold air intake, even though this one would make the hood functional. The other one, I remember looking at it on some site but I can't remember which site that was. I'm sure somebody knows, and if you do, is there anyway to make it functional and does it work better than the PFYC hood?

i think if i was gonna spend that much money on the hood i would get the functional cold air intake that goes with it, that way everything is a package, and i think it would work really well

its anotehr $200 on top of everything to make it functional, and I still wonder if its worth the money for the extra few hp this would pick up.

Better spending the money on a few HP than just good looks. Gonna bite the bullet... bite it! lol

If you've got the money, go for it. If you are looking for speed, drop it on other mods.

But what I wonder is this... lets say I get the airbox to make it functional. Even with a functional ram air hood, would I still be better off performance and even for fuel mileage to get, say, a K&N?

I would get a K&N air filter, but you don't necessarily need their cold air box. They do make a good kit and it would be functional immediately by design.
