question
I'm looking at ordering the 3" downpipe with cat from zzpperformance, and I'm wondering if they are good, and if it will change the sound and give a tad more performance, I'm then planning on over the winter throwing a m90 kit on it, but for this summer just doing the downpipe with ubend delete. Any feed back would be awesome

You really think there wouldnt be any noticable gains on a na 3800? What would it sound like if I went too the one without a cat and just deleted the o2 sensor would that be louder? I plan on supercharging it this winter though.

No, I honestly don't think you'd see any gains. Maybe 5 hp at the crank. You're getting rid of the ubend, that's a plus, but a 3" downpipe on something not boosted or with super high compression won't help any. It MAY sound a little louder, but I'm doubtful.

OK so after looking around it shows I'll get an engine code p0420 from switching out the downpipe to an after market one. Since that is the case couldn't I just go 3" one and get this. Rear O2 Emulator: 3800 Performance. And would that work so it makes it where I don't get a code?

That would probably work, I had the code deleted from my PCM.
But yes, once boosted, that 3" downpipe will help quite a bit... I would rather go with headers though. But again, if you get the headers for a boosted application, you may lose some low end torque until you get blown.

once the code it deleted from the pcm or you are using the emulator it will run fine. it wont know it doesnt have one and think it does so no issues there at all.
before i would spend money on a 3" dp i would but headers if your planning to sc the car. if you never plan to sc the car then just get the 2.5" dp because a 3" dp on a NA car could actually take performance away do to no back pressure.
